My Phoenix painting is a very personal piece, as I’ve always felt like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. Its creation marked the point in time when I decided to pursue a career as an artist. The symbolism of this painting is told in a blog post (click here).

Since moving to Bracebridge in the fall of 2015, my artistic creations have been inspired by the beauty of Muskoka, from its scenery to the wildlife that inhabits the region. Muskoka is an artist’s heaven.

About the Artist, and “Vine” Art – A somewhat short description of my 40+ years as an artist. This link will take you to a blog post to discover a little more about me.

Biography & Artist’s Statement – This tells it all, much more concisely.

CV / Exhibitions / Memberships – My CV as an artist may seem short, as I am mostly self-taught, but I have put in well over 20,000 hours as an artist (from drawing to painting and mixed media). The rest of my CV (not shown here, as it is unrelated to art) is much longer from my years as a student, a teacher, and a financial controller (bookkeeping/accounting). That’s because I couldn’t decide what I wanted to be when I grew up. I have only been actively pursuing a career as a professional artist since late 2014, and I’ve had several interruptions since moving a good distance with my family to Bracebridge, Ontario. Life is full of adventures!

I hope you will enjoy my creations, and if you do, please comment and share what you like, why you like it, as well as any questions you might have about the how-to process. Thank you for visiting my site!
